Background:Tricryption® extends to the protection of executables and applications. In 2004, a major Defense Department agency of the US Government came to ERUCES and based on our technology at that time determined Tricryption® was uniquely qualified to secure applications and executables. Their requirements as well as other commercial and government applications led to the development of this unique multi-OS capable solution.Operational & Mission Impact:Executable protection allows clients to secure their programs and applications against analysis, modification, disassembly, and reverse engineering. With Tricryption® users protect their Intellectual Property (IP) and insure interrupted ‘as is’ operation of their executables and applications.Tricryption® through the use of transparent kernel level drivers in Windows, Linux, and Solaris, provides binary encryption protections to executables. In this way the client can deploy their executables and applications (and inherent IP) with assurance that unscrupulous clients or third parties could not gain access and steal their trade secrets. For government customers, the ability to deploy critical executable functions with a lowered threat of intrusion, manipulation, and compromise supports missions in today’s potentially hostile deployment scenarios. Technical Highlights:Tricryption® executable protection defeats direct attacks against the encrypted executable, and resists attacks against its own program code. Through the use of safeguards contained in FIPS compliant CSP/CM, design of encryption functions, and utilization of a separated key client-server functionality, Tricryption® software makes attacks difficult.
